Terms of Service

Book a playlist is a service that lets its community pair songs with books and listen to them through third-party services (Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube). By using the service, you accept these terms.

1. Account

Creating an account requires accurate, up-to-date information. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential. You may terminate your account at any time; the publisher may suspend or terminate an account in the event of a breach of these terms or abuse of the service.

2. User content

You retain your rights in the content you post (proposals, notes of up to 140 characters, reviews). You grant the publisher a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, reproduce, display and distribute this content solely to operate and promote the service. You warrant that you hold the necessary rights in the content you post and that it does not infringe any third-party right.

3. Moderation and removal

The publisher may remove or hide any content that breaches these terms, the law or third-party platform rules, and may suspend the accounts concerned. You can report disputed content to legal@bookaplaylist.com.

4. Third-party services — Spotify

Book a playlist uses the Spotify platform and service. You acknowledge that Book a playlist makes no warranties or representations on behalf of Spotify and expressly disclaims all implied warranties with respect to the Spotify platform, service and content (including the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement). You must not decompile, disassemble, reverse-engineer or otherwise reduce the Spotify platform, service or content to a human-perceivable form, to the full extent allowed by law. Spotify is a third party beneficiary of these terms and our privacy policy and is entitled to directly enforce them. The Spotify marks and logos belong to Spotify.

5. Third-party services — Google / YouTube

Some features rely on YouTube services. By using the YouTube-powered features of Book a playlist, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's processing of data is governed by the Google Privacy Policy.

6. Third-party services — Apple and others

The service allows sign-in with Apple and playback via Apple Music, as well as access to bibliographic data (Open Library, Google Books). Use of these services is subject to the terms of their respective providers.

7. Warranties and limitation of liability

The service is provided « as is » and « as available », without warranty that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, the publisher shall not be liable for indirect damages arising from use of the service or third-party services. Nothing excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

8. Governing law and mediation

These terms are governed by French law. In accordance with the French Consumer Code, in the event of an unresolved dispute, a consumer may use a consumer mediation scheme free of charge. This right, non-waivable for consumers residing in France, applies without prejudice to referral to the competent courts.

10. Changes

The publisher may amend these terms. The version in force is identified by its last-updated date and version number, shown at the top of the page.
